Discover a spacious, industrial, paved landing on the bay in northeastern Vancouver Island. This former log dump and loading platform for a nearby mining operation is now a fantastic boondocking spot. With a makeshift fire ring, it’s perfect for group camping. Enjoy watching fishing boats navigate the bay, with scenic fjords and mountain ranges to the east and a rock wall and wooded hills to the west.

While there is no cell service, the clear view of the sky offers excellent satellite connectivity. This quiet and peaceful spot, especially in mid-August, might see the occasional local visitor. Activities like fishing, relaxing, and even impromptu gatherings can be expected.

Ideal for those seeking adventure, the bay is perfect for kayaking or pack rafting, with an abundance of starfish to discover. This hidden gem promises a serene and unique camping experience on Vancouver Island and comes highly recommended.
