Hidden in the Mountains of Southern Oregon

This is a hidden clearing at the end of a forest road spur in Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest, about a dozen miles from Oregon Caves National Monument. This site sits at a moderate elevation, offering serious privacy and seclusion.

It's a completely primitive setup, roomy enough for one or two vehicles at the end of an overgrown road—expect some vehicle scratches. There are no amenities, no fire ring. Perched on a ridge and surrounded by towering cedars, this spot is incredibly peaceful and beautiful, with plenty to explore nearby.

Surprisingly good cell service, though the tree cover is too dense for satellite connectivity, and views are mostly obscured. Recommended for those seeking solitude and the tranquility of being hidden away, and a it's a great stop if you're simply passing through the area.

Status – OPEN

We’ve been here in-person, but it might have been a while. To our knowledge, this spot is currently open and accessible, but that can easily change, so always have a back-up plan!
