Explore a free National Forest campground nestled in a stunning canyon with towering sandstone walls. A gentle river meanders through the area, offering a picturesque backdrop.

Each site provides ample space for one or two vehicles and features tent pads, fire rings, and picnic tables for your convenience. While there's no cell service, enjoy a decent view of the sky for satellite connectivity.

Accessing the campground is best with a stock four-wheel drive vehicle, especially during winter or wet conditions when the road into the canyon can be challenging. Nearby, you'll find charming primitive dispersed sites to explore.

Immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of this serene location, where historic ruins and a tranquil river enhance the idyllic setting. Although popular during peak season, this campground remains clean and unspoiled, making it a highly recommended destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Remember to respect and preserve this natural wonder.

We’ve been here in-person, but it might have been a while. To our knowledge, this spot is currently open and accessible, but that can easily change, so always have a back-up plan!
