Description
This flat clearing located in the desert mountains of southern Nevada is a perfect spot for those who love picturesque, primitive locations. This serene campsite is large enough for a single vehicle and offers a stunning view of the rock formations. Visitors can spend a few nights here and explore the area on foot. The primitive camping spot is accessible by stock four-wheel drive vehicle, but visitors should expect a few scratches from the desert brush if they are driving large vehicles. It is a van-accessible location, but just barely due to some narrow sections with desert scrub.
The area around the campsite is rich in history, and there are ancient mines nearby, but they are closed and unsafe to enter. Visitors can take a hike to a rocky hill south of the clearing, which provides some shelter from the elements. The terrain is otherwise barren, with little vegetation, and can get windy at times. It is a great place to stargaze as there is a good view of the sky for Starlink. However, visitors should note that no campfires are allowed as there is no fire ring at the site.
Overall, this area offers an exciting opportunity for visitors to explore the rocky desert landscape and enjoy the unique vegetation. The cell service is passable, and visitors can climb on the rocks and enjoy the stunning view of the surrounding area.
