Escape to a secluded haven at this intimate campsite nestled on BLM land just beyond the borders of Bighorn Mountain Wilderness. This primitive gem offers a serene mountainous desert setting, elevated on a hill just above a wash. With low vegetation, Joshua trees, and green grass, the landscape provides a picturesque backdrop for your outdoor retreat.

Immerse yourself in nature's wonders with amazing rock formations awaiting just a short hike away. This small, carefully curated site features a fire ring for cozy evenings under the stars. While the surroundings are stunning, be prepared for a digital detox as there is no cell service, allowing you to fully connect with the natural beauty around you. Although there is a decent view of the sky for possible satellite connectivity.

With ample space for one or two vehicles, this site is accessible via a rugged primitive track, making a compact four-wheel drive vehicle a necessity. Please note that larger vehicles are not recommended due to the tight trails.

For those seeking a remote and peaceful camping experience, this site is highly recommended.

Always tread lightly, leave no trace, respect the wishes of landowners, and leave campsites cleaner than you found them. Be the very best steward of our public spaces that you can possibly be so that they remain public.

We’ve been here in-person, but it might have been a while. To our knowledge, this spot is currently open and accessible, but that can easily change, so always have a back-up plan!
