Description
This is a seasonal, grassy campsite near a scenic pond in a picturesque, high elevation plateau that offers a serene and peaceful getaway from busy city life. Nestled in a grove of aspen trees, the campsite is a perfect spot for nature lovers who are looking for a tranquil and remote location. The primitive stone fire ring is large enough to accommodate two or three vehicles, and there is a moderate amount of traffic around the campsite, including loggers, ranchers, hunters, hikers, or campers.
Although there is no cell service, there is some view of the sky for Starlink. The campsite is located just off of a well-groomed forest road that is accessible by any vehicle with good tires. The area is known for residential logging and hunting, and there are grazing cattle around. So, it is advisable to watch out for cow patties!
The scenery includes sprawling meadows dotted with groves of conifers and aspens. During the fall season, the colorful foliage is stunning. There are enjoyable hikes nearby, and some trees provide protection from exposure. All in all, this lovely campsite is highly recommended for those who want to spend some time in nature and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Always tread lightly, leave no trace, respect the wishes of landowners, and leave campsites cleaner than you found them. Be the very best steward of our public spaces that you can possibly be so that they remain public.
