Description

Nestled in a lush mountain basin by a crystal-clear stream, this primitive campsite is a gem. It’s got a stone fire ring and enough room for one or two vehicles, all surrounded by towering conifers.

Getting here isn’t for the faint of heart—high clearance four-wheel drive required for the rugged ascent. It’s a popular spot, so expect to see hikers, 4x4s, ATVs, and other campers, especially during peak season.

No cell service, but you might catch some satellite connectivity through the trees. With excellent tree cover and an alpine setting, this place offers a peaceful escape. Perfect for a few nights of backcountry adventure.

Always tread lightly, leave no trace, respect the wishes of landowners, and leave campsites cleaner than you found them. Be the very best steward of our public spaces that you can possibly be so that they remain public.

Status – OPEN

We’ve been here in-person, but it might have been a while. To our knowledge, this spot is currently open and accessible, but that can easily change, so always have a back-up plan!
