Description

Nestled within the barren desert foothills alongside a riverbank in southwestern Wyoming, this campsite offers a serene escape within a BLM road network. An old stone fire ring marks the spot. Surrounded by stunning views of the nearby mountains to the west. Despite its rustic charm, the area is accessible via a lightly traveled, albeit bumpy, two-track road, suitable for any stock four-wheel-drive vehicle. While the terrain may be rugged, it's advisable to air down tires for a smoother ride along the way.

With enough space to accommodate two or three vehicles, this campsite provides a secluded setting amidst the exposed desert landscape. While tree cover is sparse, nearby mountains offer some respite from the sun and wind. Although cell service may be unreliable, the campsite boasts excellent satellite connectivity, ensuring you stay connected even in remote areas.

Situated a relatively short distance from pavement, this rugged and wild terrain immerses you in the natural beauty of the Greater Yellowstone area. Whether you're seeking solitude or adventure, this campsite provides the perfect base for exploring the untamed wilderness of northwestern Wyoming.

Always tread lightly, leave no trace, respect the wishes of landowners, and leave campsites cleaner than you found them. Be the very best steward of our public spaces that you can possibly be so that they remain public.
