If you're looking for a peaceful and secluded camping spot, Sitgreaves National Forest's heavenly dispersed campsite might just be the perfect place for you. This hidden gem is surrounded by tall conifers, which provide a serene atmosphere. The campsite is accessible via a two-track, but don't worry, stock four-wheel drive is enough to get you there. Even a Sprinter van can fit comfortably in this spot. However, keep in mind that there is no cell service, so it's recommended to bring a satellite communicator.
One of the best things about this campsite is the privacy it offers. You'll have plenty of space to yourself, and the wildlife is abundant. During my stay, I had an incredible encounter with a Mexican Wolf. It walked out of the tree-line, looked at me, and then wandered off. This is a rare and amazing sight, and I'm grateful to have experienced it. The fire ring is clean and well taken care of, and there was a pile of firewood available during my visit.
Overall, Sitgreaves National Forest's heavenly dispersed campsite is a hidden gem that offers a unique and unforgettable camping experience. If you want to disappear into the backcountry for a few nights, this spot is the perfect choice. Just make sure to bring your satellite communicator, and get ready to enjoy the serene and peaceful surroundings.
