Description

Nestled in the wooded Sierra Mountains within Eldorado National Forest, this enchanting campsite offers a serene escape with tall conifers, rocks, and lush vegetation. Featuring a stone fire ring, the site provides ample space for two or three vehicles or ground tents. Just a mile off pavement, it is easily accessible via any stock four-wheel-drive vehicle, making it a convenient and peaceful retreat.

The setting is reminiscent of a peaceful garden, and a short walk down the hill leads to a refreshing mountain stream with a cooling swimming hole. While the campsite isn't directly adjacent to the stream, it's a brief and effortless stroll. Enjoy good privacy during your stay, although it's advisable to anticipate visitors or neighboring campers during peak summer weekends.

Cell service is unavailable, but despite the wooded surroundings, there might be a partial view of the sky for intermittent satellite connectivity. Escape to this lovely spot for a rejuvenating getaway lasting a couple of days, with the added allure of a nearby refreshing mountain stream—a feature worth returning for.

Always tread lightly, leave no trace, respect the wishes of landowners, and leave campsites cleaner than you found them. Be the very best steward of our public spaces that you can possibly be so that they remain public.
