Why do I need to pay to see locations?
1 - Quality
While incredibly useful apps like iOverlander offer an enormous database of crowdsourced campsites, it's sort of like a box of chocolates. Some of those locations might be sensitive, overcrowded, or simply Walmart parking lots.
Campsites featured here have all been curated by venture4wd. I can vouch for - and I've been to each and every one. Not to mention, it cost a good bit for the food and gas to find these places, so your support helps!
2 - You're Invested
The gesture of parting with your hard-earned money in exchange for location information tells us that you're (hopefully) less likely to spoil or abuse our wonderful public spaces.
Locations that we've curated are intentionally away from areas that are extremely sensitive or that suffer from over-crowding. While we don't want to gate-keep, we do want to educate, and trust that you will treat our public land with the utmost respect.
